Mastication and deglutition in obese children and adolescents
Conclusion: the obese children and adolescents studied in this research presented a higher occurrence of orofacial myofunctional changes when compared to eutrophic people in relation to tonicity and mobility of cheeks and swallowing. Speech disorders related to alterations of the lingual frenulum in schoolchildren
Conclusion: the short frenulum prevailed over the other lingual frenulum alterations classifications. The research group presented statistically significant alterations when compared with the group control, in the following items: tongue tonus, low tongue posture in the oral cavity and articulation. In the other items, although there is no statistically significant difference among the groups, there was a tendency of major alteration in the research group. Influence of factors and personal habits on the tinnitus perception
Conclusion: more than half of the subjects had bilateral tinnitus and that most situations surveyed do not cause change in the tinnitus perception to the studied people. It is noteworthy, however, that the presence of ambient noise helps to reduce the feeling of tinnitus annoyance, as well as the silence, the period of night and the anxiety contribute to accentuate it. Self-perception of hearing disorders, habits, and hearing loss risk factors in farmers
Conclusion: as conclusion, the studied population did not have perception about hearing disorders, despite direct handling pesticides and not ever have had guidance about hearing risks in farming activity. Time-compressed speech test: adaptation and validation
Conclusion: it was possible to adapt the Time-Compressed Speech Test observing a moderate correlation between both tests and verify the applicability of the Adapted Time-Compressed Speech Test.
