[Nurses of large public hospitals in Rio de Janeiro: socio demographic and work related characteristics].
Abstract The study aimed at analyzing socio-demographic and working characteristics of nurses from public hospitals. It was carried out a cross-sectional study, involving 3.229 nurses from the eighteen largest public hospitals of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It was observed a feminine predominance (87.3%), with mean age of 39.9±10 years. [Sexual and reproductive health and nursing: a bit of history in Bahia].
Abstract The study aimed to analyze the introduction of sexual and reproductive health concepts in the curriculums of nursing course of the Federal University of Bahia, from 1972 to 2006. It was carried out through qualitative approach, documentary research and semi-structured interview with professors who work exclusively for the institution. [Risk factors for cancer of the cervix in women prisoners].
Abstract The study aimed to identify risk factors for the development of cervical cancer in women prisoners. Cross sectional study with a quantitative approach carried out in a female penal institute on the state of Ceará, Brazil. [Evaluation of pharmacotherapy prescribed to institutionalized elderly].
Abstract Cross-sectional study, quantitative, descriptive and exploratory research, which aimed to evaluate the profile and quality of pharmacotherapy prescribed to elderly residents in long-stay institutions located in Londrina-PR. The population consisted of 203 elderly patients with predominantly female, mean aged 76.4 years. It was found that 97.0% of the population used one drug. [Difficulties experienced by nurses in the use of process indicators].
Abstract The research has investigated the difficulties that nurses from "Santa Casa" Hospital in Montes Claros-MG have had in using indicators to analyze the quality of care processes results.
