IMAGING THE VITREOUS WITH A NOVEL BOOSTED OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY TECHNIQUE: Vitreous Degeneration and Cisterns
Conclusion: With this novel method of enhanced vitreous imaging, the vitreous seemed to have stereotypic patterns of degeneration. The formation of vitreous syneresis and synchysis may be related to organization architecture of the vitreous, including the pattern of vitreous collagen deposition, and the effects of eye motion through decades of time. A systematic review of deep learning applications for optical coherence tomography in age-related macular degeneration
Conclusion: Deep learning models generally achieved high performance, at times comparable with that of specialists. However, external validation and experimental parameters enabling reproducibility were often limited. Prospective studies that demonstrate generalizability and clinical utility of these models are needed. (Source: RETINA)

Long-term efficacy of fluocinolone in eyes with iris–lens diaphragm disruption and pcme with medication fixed in the sclera (mefisto)
Conclusion: In this study, we showed that the treatment of recalcitrant pseudophakic cystoid macular edema with scleral fixated fluocinolone implant in eyes with disruption of the iris–lens diaphragm provides good anatomical and functional results with a reasonable safety profile over 24 months in eyes where pseudophakic cystoid macular edema is otherwise difficult to treat and often left untreated. Association of plasma ω-3 fatty acids with early age-related macular degeneration in the multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis
Conclusion: Our analysis suggests increasing levels of docosahexaenoic acid are associated with reduced risk for early AMD in a multiethnic cohort. This represents the first racially diverse study demonstrating an association between omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and AMD risk. (Source: RETINA)

THE TARGET SIGN: A Near Infrared Feature and Multimodal Imaging in a Pluri-Ethnic Cohort with: RDH5: -Related Fundus Albipunctatus
Conclusion: Our results show distinct imaging findings present in all patients with fundus albipunctatus independent of ethnicity or genetic mutation. Our results can facilitate the current algorithm to diagnose RDH5-related fundus albipunctatus and allow for targeted genetic testing. (Source: RETINA)

Multicolor confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscope imaging in posterior uveitis
Conclusion: Retinochoroidal lesions in posterior uveitis may be poorly identified on MCI compared with CFP and clinical examination. One must exercise caution in commenting on disease morphology based on MCI alone. (Source: RETINA)

Validation of a deep learning-based algorithm for segmentation of the ellipsoid zone on optical coherence tomography images of an ush2a-related retinal degeneration clinical trial
Conclusion: Deep OCT atrophy detection segmented EZ in USH2A-related retinal degeneration with good performance. The algorithm is potentially generalizable to other diseases and other biomarkers of interest as well, which is an important aspect of clinical applicability. (Source: RETINA)

Assessment of retinal microvascular alterations in individuals with amnestic and nonamnestic mild cognitive impairment using optical coherence tomography angiography
Purpose: To assess retinal microvascular alterations in individuals with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and nonamnestic MCI. Methods: One hundred twelve eyes of 59 amnestic MCI participants, 32 eyes of 17 nonamnestic MCI participants, and 111 eyes of 56 controls with normal cognition were included. Optical coherence tomography angiography vessel density and perfusion density in the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study 3-mm circle and ring were assessed. Retinal thickness parameters including retinal nerve fiber layer thickness, ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness, central subfield thick...
