"adherence to the mediterranean diet in medical students"
CONCLUSIONS: Half of all medical students did not have a good adherence to MeDi. Adherence was higher at older age, in higher academic years and related to greater physical activity. It would be convenient to quantify dietary knowledge as well as implement nutritional educational programs, favoring a healthy lifestyle.PMID:37165862 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023000964 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Improving school lunch menus with multi-objective optimization: nutrition, cost, consumption, and environmental impacts
CONCLUSIONS: This work can be extrapolated to monthly menus to provide further direction for school districts, and the methods can be employed with different recipes and constraints. Future research should test the implementation of optimized menus in schools and consider the broader implications of implementation.PMID:37165566 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023000927 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Effectiveness of a Text Messaging Intervention on Intuitive Eating: A randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: Text-messaging interventions might be efficient in enhancing IE. Results shed light on the need for further large-scale interventions that use visual aids and provide practical guidance to teach IE, while further characterizing the relation between IE, SC and stress.PMID:37165660 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023000939 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Food security definition, measures and advocacy priorities in high-income countries: a Delphi consensus study
CONCLUSIONS: This study furthers the conceptual understanding of the commonly used definition of food security and its constituent dimensions. Strong advocacy is needed to ensure food security monitoring, policy and mitigation strategies are implemented. The consensus on the importance of prioritising actions that address the underlying determinants of household food security by experts in the field from across wealthy nations provides evidence to focus advocacy efforts and generate public debate.PMID:37144401 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023000915 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Behavioral and Environmental Risk Factors Associated with Primary School Children's Overweight and Obesity in Urban Indonesia
CONCLUSIONS: This study illustrated the demographic, behavioral, and environmental risk factors for overweight and obesity among primary school children in a middle-income country. To foster healthy behaviors in primary school children, parents need to ensure a positive home food environment. Future gender-responsive interventions should involve both parents and children, promote healthy diets and physical activity and improve food environments in homes and schools.PMID:37138496 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023000897 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Is the transition from primary to secondary school a risk factor for energy balance-related behaviours? A systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: During the transition from primary to secondary school, sedentary time and fruit and vegetable consumption tend to change unfavourably. More high-quality, longitudinal research is needed specifically on changes in energy balance-related behaviour across the school transition, especially regarding sleep behaviour.
