Obesogenic neighborhood environment is associated with body fat and low-grade inflammation in Brazilian children: could the mother's body mass index be a mediating factor?
CONCLUSIONS: Obesogenic neighborhood environment directly affects body fat and indirectly affects leptin concentrations in Brazilian children, mediated by the mother's BMI and body fat.PMID:38031476 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023002628 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Effects of egg as an early complementary food on growth of 6 to 9-month-old infants: A randomised controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Daily egg intake did not affect linear growth, underweight, wasting, motor milestones development, anaemia, and iron status. Other interventions are necessary to understand the effect of animal-source food intake on children's growth and development. This trial was registered at https://clinicaltrials.gov/ (NCT05168085).PMID:38018158 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023002604 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Assessing the scalability of healthy eating interventions within the early childhood education and care setting: Secondary analysis of a Cochrane systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Findings indicate there is a lack of reporting of some key factors of scalability for ECEC-based healthy eating interventions. Future trials should measure and report such factors to provide important information to support policy and practice decision makers when selecting interventions to be scaled-up.PMID:37990443 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023002550 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)

Association between pro-inflammatory diet and liver cancer risk: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSION: The higher the DII/EDIP score, the higher the risk of liver cancer. This finding may have prominent implications for the general population.PMID:37990536 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980023002574 (Source: Public Health Nutrition)
