The phenomenology of auditory verbal hallucinations in bipolar disorder
ConclusionsThe study highlights possibly subtle differences in the experience of AVH in BD, including the potential influence of mood congruence as a pertinent clinical feature. Further research into these differences might inform adaptations to existing AVH interventions to ensure they are relevant for BD. Exploring the experiences and responses of siblings living with a brother or sister with obsessive compulsive disorder
ConclusionsMany of the sibling experiences of frustration, distress avoidance, helplessness and symptom accommodation are mirrored in the burgeoning caregiver literature. Longitudinal studies are required to track sibling experiences over the course of their siblings OCD journey and expand our knowledge in this area. Counselling services, sibling support groups and inclusion in family assessment, formulation and treatment are possible avenues of exploration for siblings of those with an OCD diagnosis. Understanding treatment non ‐responders: A qualitative study of depressed adolescents' experiences of ‘unsuccessful’ psychotherapy
ConclusionsFindings highlight how actively exploring the adolescent's therapy expectations, developing a strong early therapeutic relationship and being mindful of the potential impact of endings are important in therapeutic work with adolescents with depression, especially where they may have a strong sense of hopelessness and self-criticism. Integrating individual perspectives of therapy with quantitative outcome measures can provi...

Mindfulness for voices: An experimental analogue study of the effect of manipulating response style to simulated voices in a non ‐clinical population
ConclusionsWe are unable to conclude from this study whether experimentally inducing people to respond to voices under cognitively demanding conditions in an avoidant or accepting way has an impact on their emotional or cognitive outcomes. Further research should focus on the development of more robust and reliable procedures for inducing differences in response style under experimental conditions.
