The associations between physical activity, health-related quality of life, regimen adherence, and glycemic control in adolescents with type 1 diabetes: A cross-sectional study
Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) display a greater than two-fold higher risk of developing diabetes-related complications compared with their healthy peers and the risk increases markedly as glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) increases. Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY) is a form of monogenic diabetes caused by mutations in single genes, affecting adolescents or young adults. Though several studies from India have reported on the genetic aspects of MODY, the clinical profile, complications and treatments given have not been reported so far, nor compared with T1D and type 2 diabetes (T2D). The power of the placebo effect in diabetes: A systematic review and meta-analysis
This review aims to identify the magnitude of the placebo effect in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Literature research was conducted Medline, Embase and Virtual Health Library for studies published between the date of inception and June 2021. The eligibility criteria included randomized controlled trials, showing comparison to placebo, having participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and having glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) as the primary outcome.
