Suspected oncologic adverse reactions associated with interleukin ‐23 inhibitors in EudraVigilance: Comparative study and gender distribution
This study investigated the occurrence of malignancies as suspected adverse reactions (SARs) potentially associated with IL-23 inhibitors by analyzing real-world data from the European EudraVigilance database. Although indicatory, these real-world data seem to confirm the potential association between the IL-23 inhibitors risankizumab and tildrakizumab, and the occurrence of SARs linked to cancer in patients with psoriasis and, according to a gender perspective, they show that this relationship is asymmetrically distributed between women and men, with a clear prevalence of oncologic SARs in men. Effects of pharmacological doses of niacin on subacute glucocorticoid ‐induced testicular damage in rats
In conclusion, niacin administration at pharmacological doses dose-dependently ameliorates t he destructive effects of dexamethasone on sperm motility, Johnsen score, and testicular cell apoptosis in rats with the latter can be considered a decisive mechanism for its positive effects on testis. Delineation of the distinct inflammatory signaling roles of TAK1 and JAK1/3 in the CIA model of rheumatoid arthritis
Differential expression of cytokines from TAK1 and JAK inhibited macrophages. AbstractRheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by hyperactive immune cells within the joints, which leads to inflammation, bone degeneration, and chronic pain. For several decades, frontline immunomodulators such as the anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) biologics adalimumab (Humira), etanercept (Enbrel), and infliximab (Remicade) have successfully managed disease progression for many patients. However, over time, patients become refractory to these treatments requiring chronic disease to be managed with conventiona...
