Nontuberculous mycobacteria otomastoiditis with facial palsy
A 5-year-old male patient, receiving bilateral ventilation tube insertions 8 months ago, suffered from persisting left otorrhea and hearing loss for 3 months recently, accompanied by left post-auricular mass for 2 weeks. The examination revealed a grade IV left peripheral facial palsy (House-Brackmann grading system). High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) (Fig.  1A and supplementary video) demonstrated opacification of the left tympanic cavity, epitympanum, mastoid antrum, and air cells. Bony erosion of the tympanic segment of the facial nerve was noticed. (Source: Pediatrics and Neonatology)

Clinical impact of c-KIT and CEBPA mutations in 33 patients with corebinding factor (Non-M3) acute myeloid leukemia
Corebinding factor acute myeloid leukemia (CBF-AML) is the most common cytogenetic subtype of pediatric AML. CBF-AML is associated with a relatively favorable outcome, although the relapse rate of approximately 40% indicates a high degree of clinical heterogeneity. The clinical impact of additional cytogenetic aberrations, including c-KIT and CEBPA mutations, in pediatric CBF-AML has not been well characterized, especially in the multi-ethnic region of Yunnan Province in China. Neonatal Outcomes in Pregnant Women with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Associated with Heart Disease
As an increasing number of women with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) choose to become pregnant, outcomes in newborns have become a priority. The main purpose of this study was to compare the neonatal outcomes in pregnant women with PAH associated with heart disease. (Source: Pediatrics and Neonatology)

Change of Gut Microbiome Structure in Preterm Infants with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy Induced by Apnea
Since a high incidence of mortality and morbidity is induced by preterm birth, it is important to understand how hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) in preterm infants alters gut microbiota development. (Source: Pediatrics and Neonatology)
