Conclusions According to quantitative ultrasound of bone, reduced bone quality was found in 41.4% of children with excess body weight. Unhealthy lifestyle, including primarily poor diet and low physical activity, may have a negative impact on the quality of bone in overweight and obese patients. Monochorionicity in twin pregnancy as a possible factor endangering fetal development
Conclusions Monochorionic twin pregnancies are related with major health hazards and may even be life threatening for the fetuses. This risk is exemplified by: increased rates of mortality in neonates (particularly premature neonates), premature births, worse general condition on birth, and lower levels of somatic features development.
