Pulmonary vein isolation by means of a novel cryoballoon technology in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients: 1 ‐year outcome from a large Italian multicenter clinical registry
ConclusionThe novel POLARx cryo-balloon system is safe and effective for PV isolation, displaying a 1-year freedom from atrial arrhythmia recurrence of 86.4%, which is in line to that reported with AFA-Pro CB or RF ablation.Clinical trial registrationCatheter Ablation of Arrhythmias with a High-Density Mapping System in Real-World Practice (CHARISMA). The QRS frontal plane axis changes during left bundle branch block after transcatheter aortic valve replacement
ConclusionAlthough post TAVR-LBBB is associated with a leftward QRS axis shift in most patients, a non-negligible proportion of patients (27%) exhibited a rightward or no QRS axis shift. The latter group tend to have a higher risk of developing high degree AVB. (Source: Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology : PACE)

Outcomes of left bundle branch area pacing compared to His bundle pacing as a primary pacing strategy: Systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionThis meta-analysis found that LBBaP was superior to HBP regarding pacing metrics and implant success rate as an initial pacing strategy, although absence of head-to-head randomized comparison warrants caution in interpretation of the results. High power short duration versus low power long duration ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation: A meta ‐analysis of randomized trials
ConclusionIn our metanalysis of randomized trials, HPSD ablation appeared to be associated to a significantly improved freedom from AF and shorter procedures, without increasing the risk of complications. (Source: Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology : PACE)

Brugada syndrome in infants ( < 12 months): A case report and literature review
We report a 7-year-old male with a malignant BrS phenotype with onset at 8 months of age, leading to multiple ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) related cardiac arrests and ultimately his death. The report is supplemented by a comprehensive review of existing literature on infantile-onset BrS and unique features in this population are discussed. Successful left ventricular lead placement by way of an azygos vein for a patient performing cardiac resynchronization therapy implantation with an occluded left subclavian vein: A case report
We describe the case of a patient who underwent a successful upgrading procedure of a pacemaker to a CRT-P in the presence of an occluded left subclavian vein and superior vena cava, using collateral veins that drained into right atrium. (Source: Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology : PACE)

Identification of atrial fibrillation phenotypes at low risk of stroke in patients with CHA2DS2 ‐VASc ≥2: Insight from the China‐AF study
ConclusionsCluster analysis identified a distinct clinical phenotype at low risk of stroke among high-risk [CHA2DS2-VASc ≥2 (3 for females)] patients with AF. The use of the novel analytic approach has the potential to prevent a subset of AF patients from unnecessary anticoagulation and avoid the associated risk of major bleeding.
