Evaluation of a Portable Wavefront Aberrometer for Community Screening Refraction in the Elderly
This study aimed to compare the SVOne handheld, smartphone-based wavefront aberrometer with a tabletop autorefractor in identifying refractive errors in elderly subjects.
METHODS
Participants 50 years or older at community eye screenings with visual acuity worse than 20/40 in either eye underwent autorefraction followed by two SVOne trials. Power vectors of right eye data were analyzed.
RESULTS

Evaluation of Polymerase Chain Reaction over Routine Microbial Diagnosis for the Diagnosis of Fungal Keratitis
CONCLUSIONS
The PCR was able to detect the presence of fungal pathogens in a high proportion of culture-negative cases. This study suggests that PCR may serve as a rapid, important complement to traditional culture with high-throughput means of fungal pathogen identification in patients with clinically suspected fungal keratitis. Visual Performance of Center-distance Multifocal Contact Lenses Fit Using a Myopia Control Paradigm
SIGNIFICANCE
PURPOSE
The purpose of this study was to examine the visual performance of center-distance MFCLs in nonpresbyopic adults under different illumination and contrast conditions compared with a single-vision contact lens (SVCL).
METHODS
