Postpartum Necrotizing Myositis With Endometrial Prolapse
CONCLUSIONS: Although rare, postpartum necrotizing myositis should be considered in postpartum patients presenting with fever, abdominal pain, severe infection symptoms, and abnormal vaginal discharge. Culture and sensitivity testing are recommended to direct appropriate antibiotic therapy.PMID:38513235 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005556 (Source: Obstetrics and Gynecology)

Diagnosis Shift in Site of Origin of Tubo-Ovarian Carcinoma
CONCLUSION: This population-based assessment suggests that diagnoses of high-grade serous tubo-ovarian carcinoma in the United States have been rapidly shifting from high-grade serous ovarian to fallopian tubal carcinoma in recent years, particularly in cases of smaller, unilateral tumors.PMID:38513238 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005562 (Source: Obstetrics and Gynecology)

Breastfeeding Initiation in People With Hepatitis C Virus Infection in the United States
CONCLUSION: Despite leading health organizations' support for people living with HCV infection to breastfeed, our study demonstrates low breastfeeding initiation rates in this population. Our findings highlight the need for tailored breastfeeding support for people with HCV infection and for understanding the additional effects of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) co-infection, HCV treatment, and concurrent substance use disorders on breastfeeding initiation.PMID:38513240 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005555 (Source: Obstetrics and Gynecology)
