Maximum serum K+ concentration within 1 hour with enteral replacement in severe hypokalemia
DISCUSSION: these cases reveal that peak s[K+] may be achieved within 1 hour after KCl intake in severe hypokalemia, which is probably faster than IV administration.PMID:38328927 | DOI:10.20960/nh.04747 (Source: Nutricion Hospitalaria)

A consensus report by the Working Group on Eating Disorders of Sociedad Espa ñola de Nutrición Clínica y Metabolismo (GTTCA-SENPE). Evaluation, medical and nutritional management of anorexia nervosa. Update 2023
Nutr Hosp. 2024 Feb 6. doi: 10.20960/nh.05175. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAnorexia nervosa (AN) is a multifactorial disorder. A possible role of the social network and the gut microbiota in pathogenesis has been added. Exogenous shocks such as the COVID19 pandemic have had a negative impact on patients with AN. The potential medical and nutritional impact of malnutrition and/or compensatory behaviors gives rise to a complex disease with a wide range of severity, the management of which requires a multidisciplinary team with a high level of subject matter expertise. Coordination between levels of care is necessary as wel...

Nutritional status and adherence to the Mediterranean diet in the school population of the city of Matar ó (Catalonia, Spain)
CONCLUSIONS: the data confirm the interest of designing and implementing educational actions involving both students and parents, with the aim of improving the eating habits of the population. The results suggest that availability of money may facilitate access to unhealthy foods and, therefore, the promotion of healthy environments that increase the supply of healthy foods should be considered.PMID:38328959 | DOI:10.20960/nh.04514 (Source: Nutricion Hospitalaria)

Depressive symptoms in a sample of women with subclinical hypothyroidism and their relationship to chlorates in tap water
CONCLUSIONS: chronic exposure to chlorates in water, in women with subclinical hypo-thyroidism, at levels authorized by law, could favor the inhibition of iodine transport and the appearance of depressive symptoms. It would be interesting to test this hy-pothesis as well as its possible effect on other population profiles.PMID:38328922 | DOI:10.20960/nh.04919 (Source: Nutricion Hospitalaria)
