Effective attenuation of glyphosate ‐induced oxidative stress and granulosa cell apoptosis by vitamins C and E in caprines
The present study aims at assessing the GLP (0.1, 2.0, and 4.0  mg/ml) induced granulosa cells toxicity and evaluating the mitigating effects of vitamins C& E (0.5  mM and 1.0 mM) in healthy caprine antral follicles, cultured in vitro in dose and time (24, 48, and 72 hr) dependent manner and subjected to various cytotoxic and geno‐toxic analysis namely classic histology, EB/AO differential staining, oxidative stress parameters, and antioxidant enzymati c activity. Pesticides are known to cause a wide range of reproductive problems that possess degenerative effects on mammalian fertility. Glyphosate (GLP), a broad...

Transcriptome analysis provides insights into differentially expressed genes and long noncoding RNAs involved in sex ‐related differences in Amur sturgeon (Acipenser schrenckii)
AbstractIn the present study, the next ‐generation sequencing technology was used to develop a transcriptome database of gonad and liver from 3‐year‐old male and female Amur sturgeons (Acipenser schrenckii). A total of 139,406 unigenes were generated after the Illumina Hiseq. 2500 sequence and assembled by Trinity. The differential expression analysis between male and female obtained 5,199 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in gonad and 457 DEGs in liver. Gene Ontology enrich analysis showed that the specific DEGs of gonad play a dominant role in reproductive processes. Although the specific DEGs of liver indicate...

Changes in the uterine metabolome of the cow during the first 7 days after estrus
In conclusion, the metabolome of the bovine uterus changes during early stages of the estrous cycle and is likely to participa te in the regulation of preimplantation embryonic development. Data reported here will serve as the basis for future studies aiming to evaluate maternal regulation of preimplantation embryonic development and optimal conditions for the culture of embryos. miR ‐34 regulates reproduction by inhibiting the expression of MIH, CHH, EcR, and FAMeT genes in mud crab Scylla paramamosain
In this study, we used bioinformatic tools to identify the target genes of miR‐34 in eyestalk. Six reproduction‐related genes wi th an intact 3′‐untranslated region (UTR), including molt‐inhibiting hormone (MIH), crustacean hyperglycemic hormone (CHH), vitellogenesis‐inhibiting hormone, red pigment concentrating hormone, ecdysone receptor (EcR), and farnesoic acid methyltransferase (FAMeT) were identified. When the 3′ ‐UTR plasmid vectors of the six genes were cotransfected with miR‐34 mimics into 293FT cells, respectively, the luciferase activities of four genes (MIH, CHH, EcR, and FAMeT) were significan...

Antioxidant hesperetin improves the quality of porcine oocytes during aging in vitro
This study demonstrates that hesperetin protects oocytes against oxidative stress during aging in vitro. The citrus flavonoid hesperetin has a variety of pharmacological actions, including antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and anticancer activities. This study investigated whether hesperetin prevents aging of oocytes in vitro in which it determined the maturation of nuclear and cytoplasm and the developmental capacity of embryo by modulating the reactive oxygen species (ROS) level. Porcine oocytes were matured in vitro for 44  hr (control) and for an additional 24 hr in the presence of 0, 1, 10, 100, and 250 μM hespere...

Coordinated expression of the VEGF system components in granulosa cells to develop a pro ‐angiogenic autocrine milieu during ovarian follicle development
In conclusion, the higher mRNA expression forVEGF120a andVEGF164a, the low expression ofsVEGFR2 and absent expression of mRNA forVEGF164b provide evidence of a pro ‐angiogenic autocrine milieu to support granulosa cells during follicle development. This article is protected by copyright.
