Fluoroless versus conventional ureteroscopy for urinary stones: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Fluoroless URS is equally safe and effective to conventional URS procedure with zero radiation exposure. However, it needs to be cautiously conducted in selected patients and fluoroscopy equipment should always be available intraoperatively. Active surveillance for small renal masses in elderly patients does not increase overall mortality rates compared to primary intervention: a propensity score weighted analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: AS represents an appealing treatment option for very elderly patients presenting with SRM, as it avoids the risks of a PI while not compromising the survival outcomes of these patients. PMID: 32993273 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Urologica e Nefrologica)

Systematic review of neoadjuvant therapy by Immune checkpoint inhibitors before radical cystectomy: where do we stand?
CONCLUSIONS: Pembrolizumab and Atezolizumab single-agent demonstrated favorable results for ICI in the neoadjuant setting. Patients with a higher tumor expression of PD-1 and PD-L1 appear to experience a higher response to ICI, although the adequate biomarker remains to be identified. Radical cystectomy appears to be safe after ICI treatment. The results of the currently ongoing prospective trial are awaited with impatience by the urooncologic community. Evaluation of a 3-item screening tool to identify men with benign prostatic enlargement/obstruction in a primary care cohort.
CONCLUSIONS: The BPH screening tool, in conjunction with serum PSA, demonstrated adequate predictive value by allowing general practitioners to quickly screen men presenting with different medical conditions but identified as having urological symptoms. Applications of the da Vinci Single Port (SP) robotic platform in urology: a systematic literature review.
CONCLUSIONS: The application of da Vinci SP in urologic procedures after five yearsof the first clinical investigation is feasible and safe. Radical prostatectomy is the most common intervention performed with this robot. Some groups described benefits in terms of less postoperative pain and early discharge, especially with the extraperitoneal approach. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up are awaited. PMID: 32993277 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Urologica e Nefrologica)

Prognostic value of preoperative albumin to globulin ratio in patients treated with salvage radical prostatectomy for radiation recurrent prostate cancer.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with radiation recurrent PCa undergoing SRP, low preoperative AGR was associated with the risk of BCR only in univariable analysis. There was no association with metastasis or survival outcomes. Further studies are needed to evaluate this biomarker in the setting of primary PCa and to identify the patients most likely to benefit from a local therapy. Enzalutamide in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer: retrospective, multicenter, real life study.

Impact of positive surgical margins on survival after partial nephrectomy in localized kidney cancer: analysis of the National Cancer Database.
CONCLUSIONS: PSM after PN was independently associated with across-the-board decrement in OS, which worsened in pT3a disease and persisted in subanalysis of patients with CCI=0. PSM should prompt more aggressive surveillance or definitive resection strategies. PMID: 32748614 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Urologica e Nefrologica)

The performance improvement-score algorithm applied to endoscopic stone. Treatment step 1 protocol.
CONCLUSIONS: Our exploratory study demonstrates that Pi-score can be effectively adapted to EST s1. Our algorithm successfully provided an objective score that equals the average performance improvement scores assigned by of a cohort of experts, in relation to a small amount of training attempts. Management of erectile disfunction following robot-assisted radical prostatectomy: a systematic review.
CONCLUSIONS: Penile rehabilitation with PDE5i is effective after nerve sparing RARP. The association of PDE5i with vacuum devices could led to a faster recovery. A multimodal approach with pre-operative specific care seems to be effective to fasten erectile function recovery. Minimally invasive strategies for the treatment of prostate cancer recurrence after radiation therapy: a systematic review.
CONCLUSIONS: Minimally invasive therapeutic options offer promising results in terms of biochemical control in the local recurrence setting. Unfortunately, the absence of high quality and comparative studies makes it difficult to establish which method is the best in terms of oncological and safety outcomes. The role of metabolic syndrome in high grade prostate cancer: development of a clinical nomogram.
CONCLUSIONS: Metabolic syndrome is highly prevalent in patients at risk of prostate cancer and is particularly associated with high-grade prostate cancer. Our nomogram offers the possibility to include metabolic status in the assessment of patients at risk of prostate cancer to identify men who may have a high-grade form of the disease. External validation is warranted before its clinical implementation. PMID: 32748618 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Urologica e Nefrologica)
