Efficacy of food supplement Acidif plus ® in the treatment of uncomplicated UTIs in women: a pilot observational study.
CONCLUSIONS: In this study Acidif plus® treatment in patients with uncomplicated UTIs was found to be non-inferior to the standard antibiotic therapy. In acute setting, Acidif plus® was shown to be even more effective in alleviating the symptoms than fosfomycin and in eliminating bacteria in urine cultures. It is therefore possible to propose Acidif plus® as a potential alternative option to reduce the problem of multi-drug resistance in urinary infections.

Could art cycles have a detrimental effect on ovarian reserve? A retrospective case control study.
CONCLUSIONS: Despite the limitations of the study, our data demonstrate a reduced AMH levels in women aged over 35 previously submitted to two or more repeated ART-cycles compared to patients never treated before. The strength of this study is the actuality of the topic that has not been discussed before in detail.

Accuracy of clinical diagnosis of anal sphincter defect: clinical evaluation vs 3D- transperineal ultrasound (3D-TPUS).

Behcet's disease and pregnancy: a review of the literature.
CONCLUSIONS: There are no contraindications for the onset of pregnancy in BD patients. In most cases pregnancy can improve the course of the disease. However, in view of the potential adverse events, it is necessary make a careful follow-up of the pregnancy in order to minimise any risks to the mother and fetus.

Vaginal Lactobacillus species and inflammatory biomarkers in pregnancy.
CONCLUSIONS: There were significant differences regarding cytokines, chemokines, and Lactobacillus spp. among four groups of studied patients. With these results, we increase our understanding of the role that vaginal cytokines and Lactobacillus species have during pregnancy, with the goal that this novel research will be useful for examining vaginal biomarkers in obstetrical conditions.

Diagnostic office hysteroscopy with the Storz TrophyScope ® versus Cooper Surgical Endosee®.
CONCLUSIONS: There was no difference in accuracy with OR pathologic diagnoses, adequacy of procedure, and reported pain scores when comparing the Trophyscope® and Endosee® in this prospective cohort. Larger studies are needed to confirm the sensitivity, and specificity for these newer, disposable office hysteroscopic devices.
