Frequency of postoperative atrial fibrillation and related parameters in patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy for obesity.
CONCLUSIONS: The most important determinants of postoperative AF are age, LAd and basal BMI. Therefore, morbidly obese patients with LAd >40mm, BMI >43kg/m2 and >50-years of age should be followed up more closely for postoperative AF development and preoperative precautions should be taken to prevent AF development.
