Contrast FFR plus intracoronary injection of nitroglycerine accurately predicts FFR for coronary stenosis functional assessment.
CONCLUSIONS: Submaximal hyperemic adenosine-free indexes are an efficient alternative to adenosine for the physiological assessment of epicardial coronary disease. The most accurate index in predicting the functional significance of coronary stenosis using FFR as reference was cFFRNTG.

Role of stent oversizing in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention. An open-labeled randomized controlled trial.
CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed that routine oversizing in patients undergoing PPCI had no benefit regarding ST-segment resolution and the final TIMI flow, as well as hard cardiac events, during the follow-up.

Left atrial hypertension invasively measured during pulmonary vein isolation predicts atrial fibrillation recurrence.

Impact of arterial hypertension and its management strategies on cognitive function and dementia: a comprehensive umbrella review.
CONCLUSIONS: To date, the evidence on the relationship between blood pressure, cognitive decline and dementia provides somewhat heterogeneous data. Further studies are clearly needed, with explicit inclusion criteria as objective as possible, adequate follow-up and precise characterization of implemented cardiovascular and cognitive treatments.

Lambl's excrescence in transcatheter aortic valve implantation: prevalence and risk of embolic events.
CONCLUSIONS: In our population the observation of LEs is not uncommon. Despite the presumed high risk of embolism, we have not observed an increase in the rate of cerebral ischemic events or other TAVI related complications in patients with LEs.

Features of degenerative mitral valve prolapse in the North East of China: repair characteristics, and short-term follow-up results.
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to Western countries, in our sample of Chinese population degenerative severe MR occurred in younger patients. The MVP lesion characteristics are similar, can be accurately detected by non-invasive preoperative evaluation, allowing predictable results. Advanced tailored repair techniques allow excellent immediate and short-term results regardless of the underlying complexity.

Long term outcomes of percutaneous or surgical treatment in left main disease.
CONCLUSIONS: LMCA PCI has an overall same survival compared to CABG in the long term follow up. Nevertheless, MACE and revascularization events were more frequent in PCI compared to CABG.

Outcome of the elective or online RF ablation of typical atrial flutter.
CONCLUSIONS: Online ablation of typical atrial flutter performed at the time of the clinical presentation of the arrhythmia, was shown to be comparable in terms of procedural safety and clinical efficacy in the short and long term compared to an elective ablation strategy.
