Vmeasur: A Software Package for Experimental and Clinical Measurement of Mesenteric Lymphatic Contractile Function Over an Extended Vessel Length
ConclusionThis software offers a low cost, rapid, and accessible method to measure lymphatic contractile function over a wide area, showing differences in contractility along the length of a vessel. Because the presence of mesenteric fat has less of an impact on imaging, due to the use of an exogenous contrast agent, there is potential for clinical application. (Source: Microcirculation)

Skin microvascular reactivity and subendocardial viability ratio in relation to dyslipidemia and signs of insulin resistance in non ‐diabetic hypertensive patients
ConclusionsEarly microvascular dysfunction can be detected in non-diabetic hypertensive patients and is related to dyslipidemia and to signs of insulin resistance, thus predicting future cardiovascular risk. (Source: Microcirculation)

Does aging alter skin vascular function in humans when spatial variation is considered?
ConclusionsWe showed that aging had a negligible influence on VAR and PORH responses in forearm skin even when controlling for region-specific variability. (Source: Microcirculation)

Visualizing the spatiotemporal pattern of yolk sac membrane vascular network by enhanced local fractal analysis
ConclusionsThe spatial distribution of the complexity of the yolk sac membrane vascular network exhibited diverse patterns at different stages. And from E3 to E4, the increment of complexity at the intersection areas between arteries and sinus terminalis was with the most advance. This is consistent with the physiological evidence. The present work provides a potential approach for investigating the spatiotemporal pattern of the angiogenic process. (Source: Microcirculation)

Effect of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention on Global Hemodynamics and the Prevalence of Residual Microvascular Dysfunction
ConclusionsFFR-guided PCI was associated with increased HCSF, but not with increased g-CFR. After uncomplicated PCI, one-quarter of patients showed residual CMD. Our approach may help identify patients who may benefit from increased coronary perfusion or show residual CMD. (Source: Microcirculation)

Vessel grafts for tissue engineering revisited —Vessel segments show location‐specific vascularization patterns in ex vivo ring assay
ConclusionCollectively, our ex vivo findings suggest that upper extremity arterial vessels have a higher angiogenic capacity, which could be used to improve neovascularization and tissue formation in tissue engineering. (Source: Microcirculation)

Mechanistic characterization of endothelial sprouting mediated by pro ‐angiogenic signaling
ConclusionsThe model provides detailed mechanistic insight into VEGF and FGF interactions in sprouting angiogenesis. More broadly, this model can be utilized to identify targets that influence angiogenic signaling leading to endothelial sprouting and to study the effects of pro- and anti-angiogenic therapies.
