The Effect of Delivery Systems on the Induction of T Helper 1 Cell Response to an ESAT6-Like Protein Rv3619c and Identification of its Immunodominant Peptides
This study determined the effect of chemical adjuvants (IFA and Alum), mycobacteria, and a DNA plasmid as delivery systems on the induction of protective Th1 (IFN- ɣ), and pathologic Th2 (IL-5) and Treg (IL-10) cytokine responses to Rv3619c and its peptides. The Rv3619c gene was amplified from the genomic DNA of M. tuberculosis and cloned into appropriate vectors for expression in Escherichia coli, Mycobacterium smegmatis, and eukaryotic cells. Spleen cells f rom the mice immunized with Rv3619c using different delivery systems were stimulated in vitro with synthetic peptides (P1 to P6) of Rv3619c, and secretions of cytoki...

Which Electronic Health Record System Should We Use? A Systematic Review
The objectives of this systematic review were to identify studies that compare EHR in terms of direct comparison between systems and to evaluate them using System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) ISO/IEC 25010. A systematic review was performed by searching Embase and Ovid MEDLINE databases between 1974 and April 2021. All original studies that appraised EHR systems and their providers were included. The main outcome measures were EHR system comparison and the eight characteristics of SQuaRE: functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainab...

Which Electronic Health Record System Should We Use? – A Systematic Review
The UK government had intended to introduce a comprehensive EHRs system in England by 2020. These EHRs would run across primary, secondary, and social care linking data in a single digital platform. This systematic review's objectives were to identify studies that compare EHRs in terms of direct comparison between systems and evaluate them using System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) ISO/IEC 25010. A systematic review was performed by searching EMBASE and Ovid MEDLINE databases between 1974 and April 2021. All original studies that appraised EHR systems and their providers were included. Description of Methicillin-Susceptible < b > < i > Staphylococcus aureus < /i > < /b > Clonal Complex 30 Related to the Pandemic Phage Type 80/81 Isolated from Patients in Three Tertiary Hospitals in Jos, North Central Nigeria
Conclusion: The current CC30-MSSA isolates share phenotypic and genotypic characteristics with the pandemic phage 80/81 isolates that were common in the 1950s and 1960s. Continued surveillance is recommended to keep abreast of the changing epidemiology ofS. aureus causing healthcare and community-associated infections.Med Princ Pract (Source: Medical Principles and Practice)

Clinical impact of kir2ds3 and kir2dl3 genes in neuroblastoma patients
Neuroblastoma is a common fatal tumor of childhood. Natural killer (NK) cells can exert direct cytotoxicity on tumor cells. The killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) family of NK cell receptors are involved in activation/inhibition of the NK cells. In the KIR gene cluster, six of them (3DS1, 2DS1 –5) encode receptors triggering activation and seven of them (3DL1–3, 2DL1–3, 2DL5) encode receptors triggering inhibition. We aimed to assess the distribution of genetic polymorphisms of KIRs on the clinical course of neuroblastoma and provide guidance on potential therapeutic options. Our st udy group included fifty ne...
