Assessment of Periodontal Status in Patients with Depression: A Cross-Sectional Study
Conclusions: Patients with moderate depression showed high periodontal destruction and inflammation as compared to those with mild depression. Further, deep pockets were associated with depressive patients. Periodontal care is required in such patients so that the progression of periodontal diseases can be prevented at the earliest.Med Princ Pract (Source: Medical Principles and Practice)

Assessment of Periodontal Status in Patients with Depression: A Cross Sectional Study
This study was conducted to assess the periodontal status of patients with clinically diagnosed mild and moderate depression. Subjects and Methods: This cross-sectional study included 135 participants. Test group 1 (n=45) consisted of patients clinically diagnosed with mild depression, Test group 2 (n=45) included patients with moderate depression and the control group (n=45) included non-depressive participants. Socio-demographic characteristics and periodontal parameters were recorded. Results: Plaque levels and gingival inflammation were significantly (p (Source: Medical Principles and Practice)

Subjective and Objective Assessment of Chewing Performance in Older Adults with Different Dental Occlusion
Conclusion: This study revealed a strong positive correlation between the subjective masticatory assessment in older adults using the validated questionnaire and the objective clinical test of the mixing ability of two chewing gums. Our data on influence of the number and the type of FTU on masticatory performance will be valuable when planning prosthodontic therapy.Med Princ Pract (Source: Medical Principles and Practice)

Effect of Chemotherapy in Stage II –IV Large-Cell Lung Carcinoma and Construction of Its Predictive Nomograms: A SEER Analysis
Conclusions: Chemotherapy could improve the prognosis among stage II –IV LCLC patients. In addition, the nomograms showed good predictive ability, which could be useful in making clinical decisions. (Source: Medical Principles and Practice)

Effect of Chemotherapy in Stage II-IV Large Cell Lung Carcinoma and Construction of its Predictive Nomograms: A SEER Analysis
This study aimed to explore the impact of chemotherapy on the prognosis of patients with stage Ⅱ-Ⅳ LCLC and to construct nomograms to predict overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS). Methods: Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was used to balance the effects of baseline characteristics. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the prognostic impact of chemotherap y on LCLC patients. Cox regression analysis was used to identify prognostic risk factors, and then nomograms were constructed and validated. Results: Overall, we identified 2532 patients with LCLC from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, ...

Association of socioeconomic status and oral cancer mortality in Brazil: temporal trends and spatial distribution
The objective of this observational study was to evaluate the relationship between the oral cancer mortality rate and socioeconomic indicators throughout the Brazilian territory, between 2010 and 2019. The variables used in this study were oral cancer mortality rate from the Mortality Information System (SIM), population data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), to calculate oral cancer mortality rates, along with the Human Development Index (HDI) and Social Vulnerability Index (SVI). The analysis was performed in tertile stratifications (Microsoft Excel 16.0), while temporal trends were examine...
