Understanding medical professionalism using express team-based learning; a qualitative case-based study

The association of a scholarly concentrations program with medical students' matched residencies
CONCLUSIONS: Baseline certainty of specialty interest and research productivity were associated with specialty congruence. However, as completing an SC project in a given specialty was not associated with increased odds of matching into that specialty nor into a higher Doximity-ranked program, SC program directors should advise students to pursue SC projects in any topic of personal interest.PMID:37434383 | PMC:PMC10339769 | DOI:10.1080/10872981.2023.2234651 (Source: Medical Education Online)

Clinical supervision under pressure: a qualitative study amongst health care professionals working on the ICU during COVID-19
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides seven recommendations for both supervisors and trainees to help optimize clinical supervision. They align with the known five factors determining entrustment and supervision (trainee, supervisor, task, context, and relationship). To ensure good clinical supervision, be it either during normal circumstances or under pressure, efforts should primarily focus on factors that are within a supervisor or trainee's span of control.MESH: Clinical supervision, interprofessional, COVID-19, Intensive Care.PMID:37403584 | PMC:PMC10324445 | DOI:10.1080/10872981.2023.2231614 (Source: Medical Education Online)
