An augmented hybrid multibaseline and referenceless MR thermometry motion compensation algorithm for MRgHIFU hyperthermia
CONCLUSION: The PCA-PDF algorithm improved temperature accuracy to <1°C during periodic motion, but was not able to adequately address sporadic motion. By augmenting the PCA-PDF algorithm, temperature SD during large sporadic motion was also reduced to <1°C, greatly improving the original PCA-PDF algorithm.PMID:38181187 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29988 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)

Non-rigid motion-compensated 3D whole-heart T < sub > 2 < /sub > mapping in a hybrid 3T PET-MR system
CONCLUSION: Validated efficient 3D whole-heart T2 -mapping at hybrid 3T PET-MRI provides myocardial inflammation characterization and non-rigid respiratory motion fields for simultaneous PET data correction. Comparable T2 values were achieved with both 3D and 2D methods. Improved image quality was observed in the PET images after MR-based motion correction.PMID:38181169 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29973 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)

CONCLUSION: Joint MAPLE enables higher fidelity parameter estimation at high acceleration rates by synergistically combining parallel imaging and model-based parameter mapping and exploiting multi-echo, multi-flip angle datasets. Utilizing a scan-specific self-supervised reconstruction obviates the need for large data sets for training while improving the parameter estimation ability.PMID:38181183 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29989 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)

Beat phenomena of oscillating readouts
CONCLUSION: Oscillating readouts such as those used in EPI can result in low-frequency, erroneous phase contributions, which are explained by the beat phenomenon. Therefore, EPI phase-correction approaches may need to include beat effects for accurate image reconstruction.PMID:38173292 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29957 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)

Rapid and accurate navigators for motion and B < sub > 0 < /sub > tracking using QUEEN: Quantitatively enhanced parameter estimation from navigators
CONCLUSIONS: We developed a framework to jointly estimate rigid motion parameters and δ B 0 $$ \delta {\mathbf{B}}_{\mathbf{0}} $$ from navigators. Combing a contrast-matched scout with the proposed trajectory allows for navigator deployment in almost any sequence and/or timing, which allows for higher temporal-resolution motion and δ B 0 $$ \delta {\mathbf{B}}_{\mathbf{0}} $$ estimates.PMID:38173304 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29976 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)
