Long Term Follow-Up Of Patients With Nonrefluxing Hydronephrosis
Conclusions Children with mild HN had an excellent prognosis. Although the majority of the patients with high-grade HN had also a good prognosis, it seems important to closely follow up patients with severe HN, increased kidney size, and accompanying parenchymal thinning. Clinicians should be aware of the increased frequency of UTIs in children with severe HN. About the Usage and Usability of Central Venous Catheters in Children with TPN: the Parents ’ Viewpoint
Conclusion Although CVCs can cause a variety of complications in the context of long-term use, the usage for parents in everyday life is feasible. Insufficient fixation and protection outside of the body have been identified as unmet clinical needs. In addition to the underlying disease of chronic intestinal failure, the catheter adds an extra mental burden to families’ lives. Furthermore, parents articulated the need for further information and training. [...] Georg Thieme Verlag Rüdigerstraße 14, 70469 Stuttgart, GermanyArticle in Thieme eJournals:...
