Foveal-Sparing ILM Peeling with ILM Flap Transposition over the Macular Hole for Repair of Full-Thickness Macular Holes

Conclusions In line with global literature, a much higher proportion of men than women, sought consultation for ocular trauma. The findings suggest a need for improvement in the referral processes from the institutions with the lowest level of care. Lack of awareness about eye protection is an issue. Surgical exploration or additional tests may be necessary for precise injury classification; therefore, we propose adding a "still to be determined" category to the BETT initial classification. CONCLUSION: Torpedo maculopathy is a rare well described clinical condition that displays pathognomonic features on regular fundoscopy examination. Our case series showed that the use of multimodal imaging, including SD-OCT, FAF and OCTA, seems to be of little value in increasing its recognition thus confirming the importance of its typical clinical appearance among ophthalmologists.
