Improving Vascular Access Dressing Integrity in the Acute Care Setting: A Quality Improvement Project
PURPOSE: The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate transparent vascular access dressings and the use of a liquid gum mastic adhesive on improving dressing integrity over peripheral intravenous (PIV) insertion sites without increasing medical adhesive-related skin injuries (MARSIs) such as tears. An Autologous Protein-Based Topical Ointment for Hard-to-Heal Skin Wounds: A Multiple Case Series
CONCLUSION: Randomized and controlled trials are needed to determine the clinical efficacy of the autologous ointment. Nevertheless, results from this multiple case series indicate that this approach may be useful for accelerating the re-epithelization of difficult-to-heal wounds. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship and to determine potential usefulness of serum albumin as a biomarker for predicting postoperative diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) healing. DESIGN: A retrospective study. SUBJECTS AND SETTING: The sample comprised 266 inpatients with type 2 diabetes receiving care in The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. Intervention for Alleviating Clinical Inertia in the Management of Urinary Incontinence
