Carbamazepine-Induced Incomplete Stevens-Johnson Syndrome: Report of a Case in Children without Mycoplasma pneumoniae Infection.
We reported an unusual case of a 6-year-old boy who developed the presentation of isolated mucosal erosion with a lack of skin findings, which indicated incomplete SJS after two weeks of carbamazepine (CBZ) administration. Findings of positive HLA-B*1502 allele supported a possible causative influence of carbamazepine inducing SJS. Interestingly, this patient was tested negatively for M. pneumoniae. This is a significant finding since there is no previous report of incomplete SJS without M. pneumoniae infection. Discontinuation of CBZ and administration of systemic corticosteroids were accomplished to treat SJS, which resu...

Benign Lymphoepithelial Cyst of Parotid Glands in HIV-Positive Patient.
Authors: Piyasatukit N, Awsakulsutthi S, Kintarak J Abstract Parotid enlargement mostly results from benign lymphoepithelial cysts (BLCs) in HIV-positive patients, as this can often be the first indication of human immunodeficiency virus infection. BLCs develop secondary to a benign lymphoproliferative disease that is not a tumor but HIV-related reaction, yet pathophysiology was still unclear FNA cytology is considered the basic and minimal invasive diagnostic tool. BLCs can expand and distort the patient's facial appearance. This is a cosmetically deforming disease entity as well as the many treatments that accomp...

Correlation between Weight Transfer on Paretic Limb While Standing in Three Directions and Fugl-Meyer Assessment for Lower Extremities in Individuals with Stroke.
CONCLUSION: The weight transfer on the paretic leg in backward direction could be used as a clinical assessment tool to identify lower extremity performance in individuals after stroke.
