Comparison of High Dose and Standard Dose Proton Pump Inhibitor before Endoscopy in Patients with Non-Portal Hypertension Bleeding.
Conclusion: The high dose of PPIs administration before endoscopy reduced the chance of high-risk peptic ulcer bleeding compared to the standard dose. Both high dose and standard dose of PPIs did not affect the time of hospital stay, unit of blood transfusion, the complications after endoscopy, and mortality rate. Standard dose PPIs can be considered using in patients with Blatchford scores lower than 10. High dose PPIs would be beneficial in patients who have Blatchford scores between 10 and 12. For patients who have Blatchford scores greater than 12, high dose PPIs are recommended. PMID: 29927201 [PubMed - in process...

Predicting Factors for Failure of Percutaneous Drainage of Postoperative Intra-Abdominal Collection.
Conclusion: Image-guided PD of postoperative intra-abdominal collection was found to be a safe and effective procedure with few complications. Initial recognition of biliary fistula in the collection at subhepatic region or in patients underwent hepatobiliary surgery was the important prognostic factor for unsuccessful PD. These patients may be more beneficial for initial surgical drainage. PMID: 29911778 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand = Chotmaihet thangphaet)

Clinical Characteristics and Treatment Response of Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy.
Conclusion: Clinical characteristics, phenotypes, electrophysiological findings, and treatment response of CIPD in Thai patients were not different from previously published studies in western and oriental populations. Efficacy of Botulinum Toxin A in Preventing Recurrence Keloids: Double Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial Study: Intraindividual Subject.
Conclusion: BTXA is not significantly better in preventing recurrence keloids when compared to corticotherapy after one and three months. However, Corticotherapy provides a significantly better outcome than BTXA at 6-month follow-up.
