Extramedullary Acute Myeloid Leukemia Tumor Presenting in the Radial Nerve
Teaching Point: Extramedullary acute myeloid leukemia tumor belongs to the differential diagnosis when a tumor develops in a patient with a history of leukemia, and magnetic resonance imaging is of diagnostic value by demonstrating iso-intensity and hyperintensity compared to skeletal muscle respectively on T1- and T2-weighted images and homogeneous contrast enhancement. Thin Slice Unenhanced Brain CT Can Detect Aneurysms Larger than 7 mm
Conclusions: NECT scans can be used to detect a significant proportion of intracranial aneurysms larger than 7 mm if properly displayed and reconstructed. These patients should receive further vascular imaging to prevent future aneurysm related subarachnoid hemorrhage. Extensive Colonic Pneumatosis, Pneumoperitoneum, Pneumomediastinum and Subcutaneous Emphysema – a Rare Pattern of Complications in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Teaching Point: Intestinal pneumatosis associated with pneumoperitoneum, pneumomediastinum, and subcutaneous emphysema is an extremely rare complication of leukemia; even though its imaging appearance can be alarming, a benign treatment-associated etiology should always be considered in this subset of patients so that unnecessary interventions can be avoided. Diffuse Hepatic Hemangiomatosis with Giant Cavernous Hemangioma in an Adult
Teaching Point: Although frequent, the coexistence of diffuse hepatic hemangiomatosis (DHH) with giant cavernous hemangioma (GCH) should be mentioned clearly and communicated to the referring physician for an appropriate management. Sclerosing Angiomatoid Nodular Transformation of the Spleen: A Diagnostic Conundrum
A splenic lesion often represents a diagnostic challenge due to relative scarcity and the broad differential diagnosis. Sclerosing Angiomatoid Nodular Transformation (SANT) of the spleen is usually encountered only incidentally. Although benign, patients with SANT often receive splenectomy, due to its rarity, diagnostic uncertainty and sometimes intimidating imaging morphology and size. Imaging features on computed tomography, magnetic resonance and positron emission tomography have a high diagnostic value for SANT and help differentiate this entity from other splenic lesions. When the imaging parameters are matched with c...

Ruptured Pyogenic Liver Abscess as an Uncommon Cause of Pneumoperitoneum

Hamstring Muscle Injuries: MRI and Ultrasound for Diagnosis and Prognosis
Hamstring injuries (HSI) are the most frequent muscle injuries in active individuals and professional athletes. Early and accurate diagnosis is key for planning a correct and individualised return to play (RTP). For that diagnosis imaging tests such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and ultrasound (US) are the most useful tests in the initial stages. Trans-Arterial Chemoembolization with 50 μm Degradable Starch Microspheres Versus 300–500 μm Drug Eluting Beads in Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Comparative Analysis of Initial Treatment Outcomes
Conclusion: Both DSMs-TACE with 50 ± 7µmmicrospheres and 300–500 μm DEB-TACE are effective for local control of unresectable HCC. Our findings revealed superiority of DSMs-TACE over DEB-TACEnin terms of initial clinical and radiological tumor response; though no significant difference was noted between the two patient groups in terms of local recurrence or mortality during follow up.
