Prognostic Value of Coronary CT Angiography With Selective PET Perfusion Imaging in Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions
In patients with suspected CAD obstructive disease can be excluded in 53% of patients by coronary CTA, and these patients have good outcome. About one-half (49%) of the remaining patients have normal perfusion and event rate comparable to patients without obstructive CAD on coronary CTA while patients with ischemia have clearly worse outcome. Sequential approach utilizing anatomical imaging by coronary CTA followed by selective functional perfusion imaging is a feasible strategy to diagnose and risk-stratify patients with suspected CAD. Noninvasive FFR Derived From Coronary CT Angiography: Management and Outcomes in the PROMISE Trial
Conclusions
In this hypothesis-generating study of patients with stable chest pain referred to ICA from CTA, an FFRCT of ≤0.80 was a better predictor of revascularization or major adverse cardiac events than severe stenosis on CTA. Adding FFRCT may improve efficiency of referral to ICA from CTA alone. (Source: Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging)

Myocardial Fibrosis and Cardiac Decompensation in Aortic Stenosis
Conclusions
CMR detects ventricular decompensation in aortic stenosis through the identification of myocardial extracellular expansion and replacement fibrosis. This holds major promise in tracking myocardial health in valve disease and for optimizing the timing of valve replacement. Longitudinal Changes in LV Structure and Diastolic Function in Relation to Arterial Properties in General Population
Conclusions
Progression to LV concentric remodeling pattern was associated with higher baseline PWV. In women, cPP predicted worsening of LV diastolic function. Our study highlights the importance of arterial properties as mediator of LV concentric remodeling in men and women, and diastolic dysfunction in women.
