Hesperidin Protects Alcohol-induced Mitochondrial Abnormalities via the Inhibition of Oxidative Stress and MPT Pore opening in Newborn Male Rats as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Model
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that hesperidin exerts a potent mitochondria protective effect against alcohol-induced mitochondrial toxicity in FAS model. Moreover, these findings indicates that hesperidin might be a useful compound for prevention of alcohol-induced fetal developmental abnormalities during pregnancy.PMID:38147083 | DOI:10.15288/jsad.23-00243 (Source: Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs)

Relationships between Alcohol and Cannabis Policies in U.S. States, 1999-2019
CONCLUSIONS: While cannabis policies liberalized rapidly from 1999 to 2019, alcohol policies stayed relatively stable and did not differ by degree of cannabis policy liberalization. In general, there were weak associations between cannabis and alcohol policies among states; however, there was some temporal, regional and political variation.PMID:38147075 | DOI:10.15288/jsad.23-00035 (Source: Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs)
