Parenting, dyadic coping, and child emotion regulation in lesbian, gay, and heterosexual parent families through assisted reproduction
CONCLUSION: Given that in middle childhood, across family types, better emotional regulation was associated with lower parenting stress and dyadic coping, and greater effectiveness in the parent - child relationship clinical work should focus on the parent's and couple's ability to cooperatively manage stressors while maintaining a balanced focus on their children's resources and autonomy.PMID:38018089 | DOI:10.1080/02646838.2023.2287678 (Source: Journal of Reproductive and Infant Psychology)

Ethnic minority fathers' experiences of the Neonatal Care Unit: barriers to accessing psychological support

Prenatal maternal cortisol, stress and anxiety, and childhood obesity at 5 years: a nested case-control study

Multidimensionality within the Edinburgh postnatal depression scale: application issues of specific structure
CONCLUSION: The model proposed by Della Vedova et al. (2022) offered an excellent fit to data. However, the findings from the bifactor modelling suggest the dominance of a general factor of depression which indicates the potential application of an embedded anxiety sub-scale for screening may be overstated.PMID:37994846 | DOI:10.1080/02646838.2023.2285837 (Source: Journal of Reproductive and Infant Psychology)

Overcoming training bottlenecks: mixed-methods evaluation of digital training for non-specialists in postnatal depression self-help treatment
CONCLUSION: This training is a feasible, acceptable and effective way to upskill non-specialists in supporting treatment for PND, however supervised practice is recommended to ensure participants embed knowledge competently into practice. The training offers an effective first step in upskilling non-specialist supporters to support women with PND treatment at scale.PMID:37986141 | DOI:10.1080/02646838.2023.2280714 (Source: Journal of Reproductive and Infant Psychology)
