Effects of kinesio taping on static balance performance and muscle activity in children with developmental coordination disorder: a single-group pretest-posttest study
CONCLUSION: Various kinesio tape applications can differentially reduce postural sway and increase muscle activity during single-leg stances in children with developmental coordination disorder.PMID:37622347 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.13403 (Source: Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine)

Shoulder ultrasound imaging in the post-stroke population: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Ultrasonography enabled the identification of common shoulder pathologies after stroke. Further research is needed to establish the association between these changes and the clinical course of stroke patients.PMID:37615388 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.13432 (Source: Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine)

Effect of very early supported discharge versus usual care on activi-ties of daily living ability after mild stroke: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: Compared with usual discharge routine, team-based rehabilitation during the first month at home is beneficial for instrumental activity in the subacute phase, in patients with mild stroke. One year post-stroke both groups show equal results.PMID:37615492 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.12363 (Source: Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine)

Development of expert consensus to guide physical rehabilitation in children and adolescents with acquired brain injury during the subacute phase
CONCLUSION: This study provides a framework for clinicians to design physical rehabilitation interventions in children with acquired brain injury in the sub-acute recovery phase. The promotion of physical activity in meaningful contexts and involvement of family members are considered as important components to optimize recovery.PMID:37584479 | PMC:PMC10448247 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.12303 (Source: Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine)

Adherence to a Web-based Exercise Programme: A Feasibility Study Among Patients with Hip or Knee Osteoarthritis
CONCLUSION: Half of the patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis adhered to the digitally delivered exercise programme and the most frequently reported barrier for adherence was sickness, while less than 10% reported pain as a reason for not exercising.TRIAL REGISTRATION: ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04084834.
