Remote cerebellar hemorrhage as a complication of lumbar spine surgery
We present a case of RCH following a L4-5 decompression laminectomy complicated by an intra-operative dural tear which was detected and repaired at the time of surgery. Despite prompt intra-operative repair of the dura, there was persistent cerebrospinal fluid leak as evidenced by a high subfascial epidural drain output which resulted in bilateral intraparenchymal cerebellar hemorrhage. The patient was managed conservatively and recovered without neurological deficits. (Source: Journal of Radiology Case Reports)

Adventitious bursitis in the plantar fat pad of forefoot presenting as a tumoral mass
We report three cases of adventitious bursitis in patients who complained of a painful palpable mass on the forefoot, with a partially solid and enhancing component seen on MRI. In the first case, a biopsy was performed for the diagnosis of adventitious bursitis. The two other cases exhibited a solid component on MRI. However, a diagnosis of adventitious bursitis was suspected, and it was felt that a biopsy could be postponed. The spontaneous regression of the mass with relative discharge of the forefoot pressure confirmed the diagnosis. With these three cases, we illustrate the MR findings that could suggest adventitious ...

Complex Solid and Cystic Breast Cancer: A Series of Six Case Reports
We report six cases in which patients were found to have a complex solid and cystic mass, all of which were proven to be malignant breast cancers of varying etiologies. We also review the literature on malignant etiologies of complex solid and cystic breast masses, including their clinical presentation, work-up, histopathologic and immunochemistry findings, treatment, and prognosis. Primary Neuroendocrine Tumor of the Thymus: Radiological and Pathological Correlation
In this report, we describe a case of a 69 year-old man with an intermediate grade thymic neuroendocrine tumor. The radiologic and histopathologic features of thymic neuroendocrine tumors are discussed with reference to relevant literature. (Source: Journal of Radiology Case Reports)

Delayed Rupture of the Renal Collecting System Secondary to a Traumatic Hemorrhage in the Setting of Suspected Chronic Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction
We report a case of post-traumatic hemorrhage into the renal collecting system leading to delayed rupture of the renal pelvis in the setting of suspected chronic ureteropelvic junction obstruction. This case illustrates the difficulty in diagnosis of acute hemorrhage into the renal collecting system. Special attention should be given to a kidney with a pre-existing abnormality in the setting of trauma to prevent complications. A literature review of hemorrhage into the collecting system along with appropriate imaging and management are discussed. (Source: Journal of Radiology Case Reports)

Extramedullary multiple myeloma with central nervous system and multiorgan involvement: Case report and literature review
Multiple myeloma is a hematologic malignancy due to monoclonal plasma cell proliferation. It is usually confined to the bone marrow, although extramedullary involvement is known to occur in almost any organ system; myelomatous spread to the central nervous system is a rare manifestation of myeloma. Extramedullary disease is thought to be related to hematogenous spread when myeloma cells show decreased cell surface receptor expression, allowing cells to escape from the bone marrow. Disease outside of the bone marrow generally indicates a poor prognosis; central nervous system involvement is associated with a median prognosi...

Neurobrucellosis in a 9-year-old girl
Brucellosis is a zoonotic multi-organ infectious disease most frequent in developing countries. Neurobrucellosis a quite rare but serious complication of brucellosis in the pediatric age group manifests with different neurological symptoms and signs. In the present case a 9-year-old girl was referred to our centre with a 9-months history of headache and back pain, facial nerve palsy and right upper limb weakness. She had undergone ventriculoperitoneal shunting surgery due to communicating hydrocephalus. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a spinal extramedullary intradural mass, two epidural collections in the cervical spi...

Hemifacial microsomia: skeletal abnormalities evaluation using CBCT (case report)
The article presents a case report and literature review of hemifacial microsomia with cervical vertebral anomalies. Unilateral hypoplasia of the mandible, congenital anomalies of the external ear and cervical spine pathology identified in this case are common major signs/symptoms of Goldenhar (Goldenhar-Gorlin) syndrome. Complete fusion of bodies and spinous processes of the second and third cervical vertebrae as well as atlantooccipital assimilation and anterior cleft of the atlas were also found. All abnormalities were accidentally identified and not accompanied by clinical symptoms. (Source: Journal of Radiology Case Reports)

Superficial peroneal nerve compression due to peroneus brevis muscle herniation
Muscle hernias of the extremities most commonly occur in the leg, between the knee and ankle. Symptomatic muscle hernias in the leg are rare cause of chronic leg pain and neuropathy, and not routinely encountered in surgical practice. Although this condition is especially an esthetic problem, with palpable subcutaneous soft tissue mass, it can lead to spontaneous pain, cramp, local tenderness or potentially neuropathic symptoms. Moreover, among leg muscles involved in this process, peroneus brevis is less frequent than tibialis anterior. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is the method of choice in establishing the diagnosis. Symp...

Colopericardial fistula presenting with massive rectal bleeding
Enteropericardial fistulae constitute a condition with a very low prevalence and a high morbidity and mortality rate. In this case report, we discuss an 80-year-old male patient who presented to emergency services for massive rectal bleeding and signs of hypovolemic shock. Abdominal arteriography and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were negative for bleeding. Findings indicative of fistula between the left ventricle and the transverse colon were described in computed tomography angiogram and the diagnosis was confirmed endoscopically. The patient was stabilized and the bleeding was self-limited. Direct communication betwe...
