Conclusions:
Results show that having activity-friendly policy provisions embedded in a jurisdiction's (municipality/county) zoning codes was associated with a greater presence of the corresponding built environmental street feature on the ground. Results suggest that the methods tested in this article may be a useful policy tool for local governments to identify high need areas that should be prioritized for built environment improvements. Public Health Representation on Active Transportation Bodies Across US Municipalities
Conclusions:
Approximately 9 in 10 US municipalities have a planning or zoning commission, whereas only 1 in 6 has an active transportation advisory committee. Public health representation on active transportation bodies across US municipalities is low. Increasing the adoption of active transportation advisory committees and ensuring a designated public health representative on active transportation bodies may help promote the development of activity-friendly communities across the United States. Neighborhood-Level Chronic Disease Surveillance: Utility of Primary Care Electronic Health Records and Emergency Department Claims Data
Conclusions:

Receipt and Timeliness of Newborn Hearing Screening and Diagnostic Services Among Babies Born in 2017 in 9 States
Conclusions:
Timely completion of the newborn hearing screening is achieved by most of the population among the participating states. Increased efforts may be considered by state EHDI programs to provide additional follow-up and education to underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, mothers with less education, and NICU infants and their families as these groups appear to be at an increased risk for delayed diagnostic testing for hearing loss. Comparison of Census Tract–Level Chronic Disease Prevalence Estimates From 500 Cities and Local Health Claims Data
Conclusions:
Modeled estimates from the 500 Cites Project were significantly higher than insurance claims estimates for hypertension but were more consistent for diabetes. Utilization of multiple data sources to understand local-level chronic disease burden requires consideration of the strengths and limitations of each. Exploring the Linkage Between Accreditation Outcomes and Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response
This study presents findings from a survey sent to health departments 1 year after achieving accreditation, with a focus on accreditation outcomes related to public health preparedness. Shifts in Community Benefits Spending Among Nonprofit Hospitals in Nebraska and 10 Proximate States, 2012 and 2015
Conclusions:
The shift in community benefit expenditures from direct patient care to community health improvement initiatives and health professions education and research suggests that hospitals are investing in programs with broader community-wide benefits. Nebraska allocates a significantly larger share of its community benefits spending to community health improvement activities than other Great Plains and Midwestern states. Willingness to Pay for Select Tick-Borne Disease Prevention Measures in Endemic Areas
Tick-borne diseases (TBDs) are increasing despite prevention recommendations. We explored whether cost is a barrier to prevention use in Connecticut and Maryland, using a cross-sectional survey. Respondents were queried regarding their willingness to pay for chemical, natural, and rodent-targeted yard pesticide treatments and permethrin-treated clothing. Progress in Cancer Control in Maryland: 1985-2015
Conclusions:
