Clinical Outcomes with Extended Depth of Focus Intraocular Lenses in Cases in Which Multifocal Lenses Are Not Primarily Recommended
CONCLUSIONS: EDOF IOLs seem to be a viable option for providing an efficient visual rehabilitation with good levels of patient satisfaction and spectacle independence associated in patients that are not primarily good candidates for multifocal IOL implantation.PMID:37362313 | PMC:PMC10289873 | DOI:10.1155/2023/8814627 (Source: Journal of Ophthalmology)

The Impact of Angle Lambda on Patient Satisfaction after Optiflex Trio Trifocal Intraocular Lens Implantation
CONCLUSIONS: The Optiflex Trio showed good results in terms of visual acuity at all distances, positive refractive outcomes, and high patient satisfaction in daily life according to the QOL questionnaire. An angle λ greater than 0.5 mm may potentially cause dysphotopsia symptoms, especially during nighttime activities.PMID:37362312 | PMC:PMC10290561 | DOI:10.1155/2023/7911449 (Source: Journal of Ophthalmology)

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Characteristics of Polypoidal Lesions in Caucasians
CONCLUSION: This study highlights the importance of a multimodal imaging approach, including SS-OCTA, for the evaluation of polypoidal lesions. Our findings suggest a morphological heterogeneity of vascular patterns in Caucasian patients with polypoidal lesions, as pictured by SS-OCTA.PMID:37347074 | PMC:PMC10281822 | DOI:10.1155/2023/9597673 (Source: Journal of Ophthalmology)

Medication Adherence and Common Barriers for Caregivers of Preschool Children with Pediatric Glaucoma
CONCLUSIONS: Over one-third of caregivers of preschool children with pediatric glaucoma were in poor medication adherence. Nearly two-thirds of caregivers cited multiple barriers simultaneously as important hindrances to medication usage. Anxiety and depression, difficulty with the acquisition of medications, difficulty with the medication schedule, and high expenses for medications were prominent barriers. Individualized solutions should be provided according to reported barriers by each caregiver and the other most common barriers.PMID:37273462 | PMC:PMC10238144 | DOI:10.1155/2022/6389822 (Source: Journal of Ophthalmology)
