Is platelet to lymphocyte ratio predictive of preeclampsia? A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings show similar PLR in PE and healthy pregnancies. PLR, therefore, may not be used to differentiate between PE and normal pregnancy or for assessing the severity of PE. The majority of included studies were case-control, potentially introducing bias, and we identified evidence of publication bias as well.PMID:38014649 | DOI:10.1080/01443615.2023.2286319 (Source: Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology)

A retrospective study of Pipelle endometrial biopsy for ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancers
CONCLUSION: Although the positive rate of Pipelle endometrial biopsy in ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancers is low, Pipelle endometrial biopsy may enable prompt histological diagnosis and initiation of chemotherapy while collecting tumour tissue for genetic testing in some cases with advanced disease.PMID:37983014 | DOI:10.1080/01443615.2023.2283162 (Source: Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology)

Effects of sirtuin 1 deficiency on trophoblasts and its implications in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia
CONCLUSIONS: SIRT1 deficiency may contribute to the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia by reducing trophoblastic migration, invasion, and PlGF secretion and increasing sFlt-1 secretion.PMID:37966393 | DOI:10.1080/01443615.2023.2282103 (Source: Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
