Pharmacologic Mydriasis Secondary to Topical Glycopyrronium Tosylate Cloths: Clinical Characterization From a Multicenter Analysis
Conclusions: Mydriasis associated with topical GT seems to be a consequence of local exposure rather than systemic toxicity. Because patients may not volunteer topical GT as a medication, eliciting a history of exposure often requires further specific questioning. Soft contact lens wear and poor postapplication hand hygiene seem to be associated with mydriasis in GT use. (Source: Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology)

Sharp Edge Eye Syndrome: A Case Report and Survey of Self-Identified Individuals
Conclusion: From this survey, we have the beginnings of an understanding of the characteristics of SEES, as well as VRQOL impacts. These survey responses lead us to postulate that SEES may be a distinct visual phenomenon and to propose SEES criteria. Systematic studies of this condition's clinical features and treatment responses will be additional steps toward improving patient care. (Source: Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology)

Long-Term Disability Outcomes for Patients With Ischemic Stroke Presenting With Visual Deficits
Background: Ischemic strokes in both the anterior and posterior circulation can lead to visual deficits, which can affect functional ability. Thrombolytic therapies are often withheld to patients with visual deficits because of either being missed on initial evaluation or because of the misconception that their deficits are not as severe or as disabling. Alternatively, delays in patient arrival for emergent evaluation lead to missed opportunities for acute stroke treatment. This retrospective study aims to explore the differences in perceived long-term disability for patients with stroke who present with visual deficit...

Early Retinal Microcirculation in Nonfunctioning Pituitary Adenomas Without Visual Field Defects Using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography
Conclusions: At the early stage of NFPA before VFD and retinal thickness thinning, fundus microcirculation impairments may occur initially in the microvascular density of the RPC segment of the IT sector. The FLV and the VD of RPC at the IT sector may provide a basis for the early diagnosis of NFPA without VFD in clinical practice. (Source: Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology)

Can Lumbar Puncture Be Safely Deferred in Patients With Mild Presumed Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension?
We examined the clinical course of a subset of presumed patients with IIH with mild vision loss and papilledema to determine whether LP can be safely deferred in this group. Methods: This was a retrospective study looking at the clinical characteristics, final visual outcome, and diagnosis of patients with presumed IIH and papilledema determined by clinical examination who did not undergo LP. The inclusion criteria included i) no symptoms suspicious for systemic infectious/neoplastic/inflammatory processes, ii) no secondary causes of raised intracranial pressure seen on magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance ...
