Basophil activation test with progressively less heated forms of egg distinguishes egg allergic from tolerant children
CONCLUSION: BAT with progressively less heated egg preparations is a sensitive and highly specific tool to discriminate EA from ET children.PMID:37937713 | DOI:10.18176/jiaci.0964 (Source: Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology)

LAD2 mast cell activation test associates with the reaction severity and diagnoses BAT nonresponders in Hymenoptera venom allergy
CONCLUSION: The LAD2 MAT represents a new diagnostic tool for HVA patients with nonresponding basophils. Further, LAD2 MAT can identify patients at risk of severe sting reactions and thus can help guide recommendations for venom immunotherapy and improve the management of patients with HVA.PMID:37937714 | DOI:10.18176/jiaci.0969 (Source: Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology)

Influencing factors on the safety and effectiveness of venom immunotherapy
CONCLUSION: Pretreatment with oral antihistamines during VIT significantly reduces the frequency of LLR but not systemic AE. All venom preparations used were equally effective and did not differ in the frequency of systemic AE.PMID:37937715 | DOI:10.18176/jiaci.0967 (Source: Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology)
