Left atrial posterior wall isolation using pulsed-field ablation: procedural characteristics, safety, and mid-term outcomes
ConclusionsPWI using PFA appears safe and results in high acute isolation rates and high arrhythmia survival during mid-term follow-up. Further randomized trials are essential and warranted.Graphical abstract (Source: Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology)

Effective ablation of atrial tachycardia with an epicardial circuit —insights from endocardial scars sites: a case study
AbstractA previous study reported primary macroreentrant atrial tachycardia (AT) in the left atrium (LA), including the epicardial circuit on a left atrial anterior wall (LAAW) scar, without any prior cardiac intervention (Miyazawa et al. in J Cardiovasc Electrophysiol 2019; 30: 263-264). However, determining the target for terminating macroreentrant ATs is challenging. The mapping revealed a centrifugal pattern but did not fully elucidate the AT circuit. The reentrant mechanism of these ATs was confirmed using entrainment pacing. The earliest excitation site (EES) was traditionally selected as the ablation site, typically...

Site-specific effects of dobutamine on cardiac conduction and refractoriness
ConclusionIn this study, there was no statistically significant change of AVNBCL and VABCL relative to SCL from baseline to any dose level of dobutamine. As expected, the AH and QT intervals, and the VABCL, VERP, AERP and AVNERP all significantly decreased from baseline to at least one dose level with an escalation in dobutamine dose. Dobutamine was well-tolerated and safe to use during EPS. (Source: Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology)
