Palliative Care Masterclass for Nurses in Central-Eastern Europe: An International Collaboration
Given the increased need for palliative care services globally, the education of nurses has become paramount. In response, a group of nurses from Romania and the United States developed diverse nursing educational programs to meet the palliative care educational needs of nurses in Central-Eastern European countries. Previous research suggests that health care providers working with issues of death and dying may experience increased stress and risk of burnout. Hospice Referral in Advanced Cancer in New Jersey
This study was secondary analysis of the 2018 New Jersey State Inpatient Database. The sample was limited to adult patients with metastatic cancer. Descriptive statistics evaluated the composition of the sample. Generalized linear modeling estimated the effect of pain and depression on incidence of hospice referral in a racially and economically diverse population.
