Acne Vulgaris and adherence to the mediterranean diet among university students: a case ‒control study
CONCLUSIONS: Adherence to the MD was not correlated with acne diagnosis or clinical severity. More research on the association between acne and adherence to the MD is needed, as earlier studies are few, were conducted in specific settings, and used variable methodologies. To improve the validity and reliability of the research methodology, the development of detailed and culturally adapted MD definitions and practical guides is recommended.PMID:38481345 | PMC:PMC10935853 | DOI:10.1186/s41043-024-00535-1 (Source: Journal of Health, Population, and Nutrition)

Application of hospital-community-home linkage management model in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy
CONCLUSION: The HCH linkage management mode can improve the compliance behaviour of patients with type 2 DN, effectively improve the renal function and blood sugar level of patients, enhance the self-management ability and cognition of the disease and delay the development of the disease.PMID:38454510 | PMC:PMC10921810 | DOI:10.1186/s41043-024-00521-7 (Source: Journal of Health, Population, and Nutrition)

Dietary calcium is inversely associated with hepatitis B virus infection: an analysis of US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007-2020
CONCLUSION: Our findings demonstrated HBV infection was linearly and inversely correlated with dietary calcium. The current study is expected to offer a fresh perspective on reducing HBV infection.PMID:38449003 | PMC:PMC10916236 | DOI:10.1186/s41043-024-00532-4 (Source: Journal of Health, Population, and Nutrition)

Epidemiologic analysis of antimicrobial resistance in hospital departments in China from 2022 to 2023
This study suggests that the prevention and control of infections in the respiratory and genitourinary systems should be the focus of anti-infective work and that the use of antimicrobials should be reduced and regulated to prevent the emergence and spread of resistant bacteria.PMID:38449053 | PMC:PMC10918933 | DOI:10.1186/s41043-024-00526-2 (Source: Journal of Health, Population, and Nutrition)
