Supragastric lesser sac: an insidious site for surgical exploration during the debulking surgery in advanced ovarian cancer
CONCLUSION: Metastases to the SGLS are not uncommon in advanced ovarian cancer, particularly those with widely disseminated disease. Disease in this recess is rarely identified by preoperative imaging and deserves systematic surgical exploration to attain complete cytoreduction.PMID:38130134 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e25 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)

Implementation rate and related factors of confirmatory tests following an abnormal Pap smear: a nationwide study from the National Health Insurance
CONCLUSIONS: The severity of abnormal Pap smear results is a reliable indicator of the probability of undergoing a confirmatory test. Additional endeavors are required to improve the implementation rate among women who have received abnormal Pap smear results.PMID:38130135 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e26 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)

Trends in the incidence and survival outcomes of endometrial cancer in Korea: a nationwide population-based cohort study
CONCLUSION: The incidence of EC increased across the all 3 subtypes. Survival of patients with endometrioid histology improved over the past two decades, but remained static for serous or clear cell histology. Healthcare strategies to prevent EC incidence in at-risk populations and apply effective treatments for high-risk histology are needed.PMID:38130136 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e32 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)

Impact of adjuvant treatment on survival in patients with 2023 FIGO stage IIC endometrial cancer: a retrospective analysis from two tertiary centers in Korea and Taiwan
CONCLUSION: In this study, the addition of adjuvant treatment was associated with an OS benefit for patients with LVSI, especially those with grade 3 endometrioid tumors.PMID:38130137 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e33 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)
