Clinical guidelines for ovarian cancer: the Korean Society of Gynecologic Oncology guidelines
This study searched the literature using 4 key items and the Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome: the efficacy and safety of poly-ADP ribose polymerase inhibitors in newly diagnosed advanced EOC; the efficacy and safety of intraperitoneal plus intravenous chemotherapy in optimally debulked advanced EOC; the efficacy and safety of secondary cytoreductive surgery in platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer; and the efficacy and safety of the addition of bevacizumab to platinum-based chemotherapy in first platinum-sensitive recurrent EOC patients who received prior bevacizumab. The evidence for these recommen...

Development and validation of a novel scoring system to predict the risk of uterine perforation during intracavitary brachytherapy for cervical cancer
CONCLUSION: The novel scoring system is an effective predictor of perforation risk during BT. Implementing this during BT assessment can optimize the need for ultrasound guidance during the procedure.PMID:38178701 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e35 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)

Improved bladder function in radical hysterectomy without worsening oncologic outcome: resection of the posterior layer of the vesicouterine ligament with the procedure limited to the vesical veins
CONCLUSION: Resection of the posterior layer of the vesicouterine ligament, with the procedure limited to the vesical veins, is an effective and safe method for radical hysterectomy. It may be more useful for preserving the bladder function, without leading to unfavorable oncologic outcomes.PMID:38156721 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e28 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)

Prognostic factors of adult granulosa cell tumors of the ovary: a Turkish retrospective multicenter study
CONCLUSION: In this study, lymph node involvement was detected in 3.3% of patients with AGCT. Therefore, it was concluded that lymphadenectomy can be avoided in primary surgical treatment. Positive peritoneal cytology, stage, and menopausal status were independent prognostic predictors of DFS.PMID:38156722 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2024.35.e39 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)
