Building Capacity for Community Pediatric Autism Diagnosis: A Systemic Review of Physician Training Programs
Conclusion: Training PCPs to make ASD diagnoses can yield high diagnostic agreement with specialty teams' assessments and reduce diagnostic wait times. Current data are limited by small sample size, poor to fair quality study methodology, and heterogenous study designs and outcome evaluations. Evidence is insufficient to draw conclusions about the overall effects of training PCPs for ASD diagnostic assessments. Since further research is still needed, this review highlights which outcomes are relevant to consider when evaluating the quality of ASD assessments across the continuum of approaches. Global Trends in Telehealth Among Clinicians in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Practice: A COVID-19 Snapshot
Conclusion: Global DBP clinicians rapidly adopted telehealth and continued to have interprofessional practice while doing so, with the largest adoption occurring in HICs. Provider concerns about effectiveness and patient access to technology emerged as key organizational and patient barriers, respectively. Increased provider confidence in telehealth and its sustained use in the future depends on supportive regulatory policies and availability and use of measures to monitor quality and effectiveness. Parental Opinions on Medical Decision-Making in Adolescence: A Case-Based Survey
Conclusion: Our study shows that parents who were confronted with cases from an adolescent perspective were significantly more likely to give the patient authority. In addition, the medical issue and context influence how the parents responded. These data provide insight into the parental opinions and could lead to more evidence-based frameworks for shared medical decision-making of adolescents and their parents. Patient Outcomes After Applied Behavior Analysis for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Conclusion: In a health system implementation of ABA for children with ASD, there were high rates of ABA discontinuation and low ABA dosing. These challenges may diminish the potential benefits of ABA, even in a context in which there is mandated commercial insurance coverage. (Source: Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics)

Comparison of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Typically Developing Children and Children with Down Syndrome
Conclusion: Variability in response patterns between parent and teacher reports for children with and without DS highlights the need to evaluate ADHD symptoms across environments. Our findings also suggest specific items that may particularly be helpful in distinguishing children with DS who do and do not have ADHD, although replication is needed. Adolescent Sleep and Mental Health Across Race/Ethnicity: Does Parent-Child Connectedness Matter?
Conclusion: Despite racial/ethnic differences, adolescent sleep and parent-child connectedness both seem to buffer youth from poor mental health in a large, multiethnic sample. On the whole, these factors demonstrate a synergistic protective effect and reflect promising intervention targets. The extent to which their interactive benefit translates across diverse populations requires additional study. (Source: Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics)
