Nurses ’ attitudes, beliefs and practices on sexuality for cardiovascular care: a cross sectional study
ConclusionNurses in this cross ‐sectional sample rarely discussed sexual concerns with their patients. There were several key barriers identified by nurses regarding providing sexuality care, including personal attitudes and beliefs, limited skills and knowledge, culture and organizational‐related barriers.Relevance to clinical practiceTargeted training for nurses and creating a culturally safe environment is recommended to improve management of sexuality in patients with CVD.This article is protected by copyright. Determining the impact of a bowel management protocol on patients and clinicians' compliance in cardiac intensive care: A mixed ‐methods approach
ConclusionsThe bowel management protocol implementation generated some positive outcomes to bowel care practices. However, compliance was low and until there is improvement, through overcoming the barriers identified, the impact of such protocols in practice will remain largely unknown. Everyday life and mastocytosis from a patient perspective —a qualitative study
ConclusionPatients with ISM are severely affected in their everyday lives, especially in terms of their relationship with family and social network. Symptoms restrict and complicate activities and participation in social contexts, and the fear of an anaphylactic attack is always present. The disease affects patients ’ self‐perception and sexuality. Dementia ‐specific drug treatment in home care settings: A German multicentre study
ConclusionsIt has been demonstrated that the use of drugs as a component of home care treatment for dementia depends on many factors and therefore varies.Relevance to clinical practiceIt can be assumed that people living with dementia in home care settings are not sufficiently supplied with medication.
