Sutureless Intrascleral Fixation of Intraocular Lens Through Self-Sealing Sclerotomy Wounds Using Haptic Externalization and Reinternalization Technique
We describe a modified technique for the sutureless scleral-fixation of a standard 3-piece posterior chamber intraocular lens using self-sealing sclerotomies created by crescent blade and a 20-gauge microvitreoretinal blade and reinserting the haptics to leave the tips inside the vitreous cavity. A Study on Semi-Automated OCT-Guided Robotic Surgery for Porcine Lens Removal
Semi-automated lens extraction procedures were evaluated using the Intraocular Interventional Surgical System (IRISS) on 30 post-mortem pig eyes. No posterior capsule rupture was reported and complete lens removal was achieved in 25 trials without significant surgical complications. (Source: Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery)

Evaluation of the Capsular Safety of a Novel Hybrid Phacoemulsification Tip in a Cadaver Eye Model
A novel hybrid phacoemulsification tip required more energy before posterior capsular rupture in cadaver eyes, even during sustained contact with the posterior capsular bag, compared to a metal phacoemulsification tip. (Source: Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery)
