Assessment of Residual Vasospasm in Patients with Plaque Rupture or Plaque Erosion using Optical Coherence Tomography
CONCLUSION: Considerable proportion of ACS including both PR and PE had residual vasospasm with variable morphological feature and different prognostic impact.PMID:37981329 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64556 (Source: Journal of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis)

Usefulness of New Criteria for Metabolic Syndrome Optimized for Prediction of Cardiovascular Diseases in Japanese
CONCLUSIONS: Although various criteria for MetS similarly predicted CAD/CVD, the new criteria greatly reduced the number of high-risk individuals, especially women, overlooked by the current criteria.PMID:37981330 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64380 (Source: Journal of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis)

Validation of the 2022 Clinical Diagnostic Criteria of Familial Hypercholesterolemia in Japan
CONCLUSION: The new JAS diagnostic criteria for FH have been noted to work well in terms of diagnosing definitive, probable, or possible FH patients. Thus, it is seen to be of great help in terms of risk discrimination.PMID:37967952 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64549 (Source: Journal of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis)

Association of Cumulative Exposure to Cardiovascular Health Behaviors and Factors with the Onset and Progression of Arterial Stiffness
CONCLUSIONS: High cumCVH can delay the progression of arterial stiffness and reduce the risk of developing arterial stiffness.PMID:37926522 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64469 (Source: Journal of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis)

Role of Small Dense Low-density Lipoprotein Cholesterol in Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Receiving Statin Treatment
CONCLUSIONS: Under the condition of treatment with statins, patients with CAD and type 2 DM who had sdLDL-C levels of ≥ 40.0 mg/dL had a high risk for cardiovascular events even though serum TG levels were controlled at <150 mg/dL.PMID:37926523 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64416 (Source: Journal of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis)
