Unusual development of the celiac trunk and its clinical significance
We describe a case of unusual development of the celiac trunk observed in the cadaver of 1-year old male child. The celiac trunk branched into five vessels: the splenic, common hepatic and left gastric arteries, the left inferior diaphragmatic artery, and a short trunk that branched into the right inferior diaphragmatic artery and right accessory hepatic artery. Additionally, the manner of branching of the vessel was unusual: it was possible to distinguish two branching points that corresponded to its s-shaped trajectory. Late mesenteric ischemia after Sars-Cov-2 infection: case report
Abstract The purpose of this article is to report the case of a 53-year-old black man, with no previous comorbidities, who presented 48 days after a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, complaining of an initially insidious epigastric pain that had progressed to severe pain radiating to the interscapular vertebral region, with hyporexia and episodes of projectile vomiting, with no nausea or fever. Immediate outcome of endovascular treatment of ruptured juxtarenal aneurysm with parallel stents
We report the case of a 70-year-old patient who underwent endovascular repair of a ruptured juxtarenal aneurysm with deployment of parallel stents in the renal arteries (in a chimney technique). Age and sex and their influence on the anatomy of the abdominal aorta and its branches
Conclusions The diameters of several aorta segments and of its branches (except the left renal artery) increase progressively with age in both sexes and are larger and have a higher rate of diameter enlargement in men than in women in the same age ranges. Between sexes, the angle of origin of the superior mesenteric artery was larger in men, except between 20 and 30 years, and the angle of origin of the left renal artery was larger in women between 51 and 60 years old. Alprostadil associated with low molecular weight heparin to treat limb ischemia caused by SARS-CoV2
This article reports the case of 60-year-old female patient who presented with mild flu symptoms, which turned out to be a SARS-CoV2 infection, and ended up developing arterial thrombosis with limb ischemia in a private care hospital in Sorocaba, S ão Paulo, Brazil.
